Small business accounting services, without the runaround
Running a small business in New Jersey means a long list of financial deadlines on top of the actual work: quarterly sales tax returns, payroll filings, quarterly estimates, the annual report and a business tax return. Most owners we meet are not short on effort. They are short on time, and their books show it.
Our small business accounting services bring those tasks together in one place. One dedicated specialist keeps your books, files your recurring returns and prepares your year-end taxes, so nothing falls between two firms. We work with shops, restaurants, contractors, real estate businesses and other owner-run companies from our office in Rochelle Park and online.
What we do for small businesses
Monthly bookkeeping you can rely on
The center of our work is monthly bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online. Every month we categorize transactions, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, and send you a profit and loss statement and balance sheet. You see how the business is really doing while there is still time to act on it.
Fixing books that got away from you
If your QuickBooks file no longer matches the bank, we start with a QuickBooks cleanup. If whole months were never entered, catch-up bookkeeping rebuilds them from statements and receipts. Either way, monthly work starts from a clean base.
Sales tax, payroll and 1099s
New Jersey businesses that sell taxable goods or services collect New Jersey sales tax and file returns on a set schedule; our NJ sales tax guide explains the rules. We prepare your NJ sales tax returns from the same records we reconcile, so the numbers match. We also set up and keep payroll in sync with your books, and prepare 1099 forms for contractors at year-end. If you are deciding how to pay a new worker, our W-2 vs 1099 guide covers New Jersey’s rules.
Business tax returns and planning
At year-end we prepare your business tax return, federal and New Jersey, from the books we have kept all year. Before year-end, tax planning looks at options such as the timing of purchases or whether an S corporation election makes sense for you.
Starting a new business in New Jersey?
If you are just getting started, we can handle the setup too: forming your New Jersey LLC, getting the EIN, and registering with the state for sales tax. That way the books and tax accounts are set up correctly from the first sale.
How we work with you
- Free consultation. A 15–30 minute call or visit to understand your business and what it needs.
- Fixed quote. Your bookkeeping fee is set individually by transaction volume, number of accounts and reporting frequency. You know the monthly price before we start.
- One specialist. The same person handles your books, answers your questions and keeps your deadlines.
- Meet the way you prefer. At our office, at your business, or by Zoom or Google Meet. We work in English and Turkish.
If your company has grown past one location or one entity, or you already have someone in-house who needs support, see how we work with growing and established companies.
We know the day-to-day of several New Jersey industries well: restaurants and food businesses, construction and building trades, real estate investors, online sellers, retail stores, gas stations and convenience stores and auto repair shops.
New clients get 10% off their first engagement. Every fee is quoted individually, so book a free consultation to talk about your business.
